About the Role

As the Director of Competitive Insights, you will track competitors and translate complex market movements into offensive playbooks. You will own the strategic narrative on how to beat legacy clouds and neo-cloud challengers, dive into technical details, extract competitor vulnerabilities, and build an intelligence engine for sales advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor and reverse-engineer the product roadmaps, pricing changes, and data center deployments of legacy hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and emerging GPU clouds (CoreWeave, Lambda).
  • Distill deep-tech competitive intelligence into practical battlecards, technical objection-handling guides, and pricing takedowns for Account Executives.
  • Lead win/loss interviews with recent prospects to identify factors influencing success or failure against competitors, feeding data back into GTM and Product strategy.
  • Serve as the internal authority on market dynamics, providing executive briefings on AI compute demand shifts and competitor supply chain bottlenecks.
  • Partner with engineering to benchmark competitor clusters, proving superiority in latency, PUE, and TCO.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, technical product marketing, or technical sales within the cloud computing, AI infrastructure, or semiconductor space.
  • Deep technical understanding of GPU clusters, infiniband/ethernet networking, and the AI hyperscaler landscape.
  • Ability to read competitor technical whitepapers and identify architectural flaws.
  • Proactive, investigative mindset with high agency in gathering technical or pricing data in ambiguous markets.
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities to translate complex technical advantages into effective sales pitches.
  • Cross-functional influence with sales and engineering teams.
