About the Role
The Maintenance Technician possesses technical skills in machine and facility maintenance and can perform these tasks confidently and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Inspect and test equipment to identify issues and potential problems.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts as needed.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
- Monitor and maintain building infrastructure.
- Address maintenance requests and issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Follow procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Document repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in Facility and Machine maintenance.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the packaging industry is preferred, but not required.
- Work environment may include exposure to noise, vibrations, and hazardous materials.
- May be required to work in confined spaces or at heights.
- May be required to lift heavy objects.
- Flexible schedule may be necessary, including evening, weekend, or on-call shifts.
- Ability to walk, stand, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
