About the Role
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of hospital buildings, equipment, and utility systems to ensure a safe, functional, and compliant healthcare environment. This role supports critical facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and mechanical systems, while responding to maintenance requests and emergency situations. The Facilities Technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and helps ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, repair, and inspect hospital buildings, equipment, and utility systems.
- Support critical facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Must have own transportation.
- Available for on call (Nights and Weekends) if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical or trade school training preferred.
- Experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Valid driver's license and applicable certifications may be required.
