About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to build robust, enterprise-level inventory platforms and solutions. Your financial and retail environment experience, coupled with expertise in APIs, services, and cloud technologies, will help craft innovative solutions to meet business goals. You will develop tools and technology from inception to completion, impacting business performance and customer experience.

Responsibilities

Design and develop APIs and services using .NET (C#), cloud-based PaaS/IaaS/CaaS, open source, and third-party solutions.
Develop Azure cloud solutions using services, functions, and other key cloud platform components.
Implement continuous integration and DevOps practices, including automated testing.
Develop robust monitoring and alerting.
Leverage a variety of technologies to provide solutions to business needs.
Maintain and grow deep knowledge of the supported technology ecosystem and industry best practices for deployment.
Maintain and grow deep knowledge of the retail, wholesale, marketplace, and automotive industries, focusing on technology's role in customer experiences.
Partner closely with Architects, Engineers, Product Owners, QE, and business stakeholders to advance the inventory ecosystem.
Utilize AI to accelerate and enhance engineering throughput and quality.
Create technical and support artifacts for applications and integrations.

Requirements

8+ years of Application Development experience.
Hands-on programming using C# .Net Core, and Azure or similar cloud technologies.
REST API design and development experience.
Knowledge and passion for App tier/Service layer methodologies.
Strong teamwork skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication.
Experience integrating cloud-based technologies and solutions.
Experience scripting Infrastructure as code in a CI/CD pipeline.
Prior experience working with container technology such as Docker.
Experience with version control systems (SVN, GitHub, etc.), build management, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of SQL Server and NoSQL database technologies.
Knowledge of JSON and XML concepts, frameworks, and standards.
Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Experience implementing end-point security utilizing industry standards and best practices.
