About the Role
Develop, implement, and administer capital projects as designated by management. Responsible for the development and management of scope, costs, and schedules for projects, ensuring they stay on budget and on schedule with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Develop project scope, schedule, and budget with input from various stakeholders including senior management, user groups, design consultants, construction managers, outside agencies, and internal departments.
- Obtain necessary sign-offs for projects.
- Present facility/space issues and proposals to end users and senior management.
- Lead groups with disparate needs to achieve consensus on capital issues.
- Coordinate the preparation of documents for Certificate of Need Applications on Article 28 projects.
- Develop and maintain project baseline/actual budgets and schedules, reporting promptly on variances.
- Develop and implement strategies for returning projects to baseline.
- Communicate regularly with department heads, staff, consultants, contractors, and outside agencies to ensure effective project completion.
- Provide supervision and evaluation of architectural/engineering activities with other departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Design and Construction.
- 6+ years of directly related experience in healthcare design, construction, or engineering.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Project Management Information Systems.
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
