About the Role
Oversee the Secondary portfolio, serving as the primary day-to-day product management lead for Treatises, Jurisprudence, and Practical Guidance content and its features. This role requires minimal supervision, leveraging customer insights to guide decisions and building partnerships to deliver customer-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own the Secondary content portfolio (including Treatises, Jurisprudence, and Practical Guidance), defining the roadmap for how it surfaces and performs across Protégé and AI-powered features.
- Set customer-focused requirements across the content lifecycle (enrichment, metadata, ingestion, and retrieval) to ensure Secondary content is optimized for AI performance, to maximize retrievability and grounding accuracy in LLM-generated responses and surfaces as customers expect.
- Use data-driven insights to define use cases and success criteria for Secondary content, establishing what good looks like for customers and how the content differentiates LexisNexis, and how it enhances the customer experience.
- Diagnose and resolve retrieval gaps (e.g. cases where relevant Secondary content exists in the corpus but fails to surface in AI-generated answers), ensuring Secondary content is properly structured and leveraged in AI-powered features.
- Partner cross-functionally with international business units, Global Operations, Technology, Product, SMEs and Segment teams to continuously optimize Secondary content across its lifecycle and deliver experiences that meet customer needs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management experience or related role, preferably in legal tech, content, or information services.
- Experience with utilizing AI in product solutions.
- Familiarity with content pipelines, metadata, ingestion, or retrieval systems in an AI or search context.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator with experience working across technology, editorial, and segment teams.
- Deep familiarity with Secondary legal content types and the judgment to evaluate whether AI-surfaced provisions are contextually appropriate, accurately attributed, and legally sound.
- Proven track record as a full product owner, with experience defining roadmaps and driving features from concept through release.
- Experience leading customer engagements and translating insights into product decisions with measurable commercial impact.
- Hold a Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
