About the Role

ARA Diagnostic Imaging, a practice of Radiology Partners, is seeking to transform radiology by investing in the people who deliver care. We combine a strong local presence in the Greater Austin, TX area with the support of a leading national radiology organization to deliver exceptional outpatient imaging and offer meaningful careers.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency and proficiency in performing all radiographic examinations and equipment in the assigned work area.
  • Ensures proper patient positioning and selects appropriate image receptor and radiographic techniques.
  • Identifies each patient and reviews requisitions for consistency with the ordered examination.
  • Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of radiologic procedures.
  • Reviews patient charts for exam referrals/orders, noting any special instructions.
  • Performs and maintains all required quality assurance/control records.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
  • Certification as Medical Radiological Technologist (M.R.T.) by the State Medical Board.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
