About the Role
Paragon Prep is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to provide nurturing and educational experiences for infants, fostering their development in a safe, engaging, and responsive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily activities that support and promote infant development.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment where infants feel safe and cared for.
- Monitor infants for signs of emotional or developmental problems and communicate with parents and staff.
- Maintain daily records of activities, behaviors, meals, and naps.
- Engage infants through interactive play, songs, and activities to promote motor skills and social development.
- Ensure infant safety and health through constant supervision, effective space arrangement, and proper hygiene.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s daily experiences, milestones, and developmental progress.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare center.
- Strong understanding of child development, especially from birth to 2 years.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Exceptional nurturing skills, patience, and a love for infants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, reaching, kneeling, rising from the floor, twisting, listening, reading, writing, speaking, carrying, lifting, using repetitive or fine hand movements, pushing, pulling, bending, hearing, and using clear vision.
