About the Role

SAIC is seeking a Regional Campaign Planner with Northeast Asia expertise to support the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) Exercise Plans Branch. This role involves developing, integrating, and synchronizing the USPACOM Joint Training and Exercise Campaign Plan, requiring coordination across USPACOM, partner nations, and component commands. International travel up to 30% may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate unified action across USPACOM, partner nations, and component commands to develop a regional Joint Training and Exercise Campaign Plan, maintaining actionable plans, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support recurring bilateral and multilateral defense dialogues with Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, preparing necessary materials and summaries.
  • Support the development of the Joint Training Plan (JTP) and Annex M to the USPACOM Campaign Order, aligning with national and strategic guidance.
  • Support operational planning events, theater posture planning meetings, theater engagement planning meetings, and strategic planning forums, providing input to strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Support Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events for Field Training Exercises (FTX), Command-Post Exercises (CPX), and associated training support activities.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships across the USPACOM staff, components, subordinate unified commands, direct reporting units, and allies/partners, particularly in Northeast Asia.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes to support exercise planning, senior leader engagements, planning meetings, RFIs, and the production of exercise orders and directives.

Requirements

  • Northeast Asia regional expertise spanning Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), and Taiwan.
  • Ability to coordinate unified action across USPACOM, partner nations, and component commands.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and supporting bilateral and multilateral defense dialogues.
  • Familiarity with national and strategic-level guidance such as the National Security Strategy (NSS), National Defense Strategy (NDS), and National Military Strategy (NMS).
  • Experience supporting operational planning events and strategic planning forums.
  • Knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining efficient processes for exercise planning and related activities.
