About the Role
2K Publishing Tech delivers innovative solutions and supports technology needs for game studios. The Senior Technical Program Manager will manage projects, drive consensus, and navigate a complex, fast-paced environment with a passion for execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead technology engagement with 2K studios to facilitate adoption of shared services and platforms.
- Advocate for studios by requesting new features and capabilities.
- Communicate updates regarding requested feature integration.
- Liaise between Studios, Analytics, Global Services, Commercial, and Marketing to ensure holistic requirement fulfillment.
- Establish, maintain, and drive delivery against multiple program and project schedules.
- Track all projects and programs under purview.
- Partner with the team to establish development timelines.
- Assist with forecasting and scoping tasks.
- Delegate work to Scrum Masters, other Technical Program Managers, and Technical Project Coordinators.
- Partner with IT leads to identify, document, and communicate project/program scope, schedule, risks, and issues.
- Establish and drive successful studio deployments by reviewing test plans and scheduling demos.
- Proactively identify, track, and drive resolution of blocking issues and non-engineering action items.
- Establish, maintain, and drive consumption of high-level project status dashboards and reporting for assigned studios.
- Establish and lead regular partner syncs.
- Transition projects into run state and handoff to the appropriate team.
Requirements
- 5+ years in technical program management, technical production, or engineering leadership, ideally including game development and live-service operations.
- Hands-on infrastructure experience across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Video game development knowledge; shipped one or two AAA titles is a plus.
- Demonstrated end-to-end program ownership, from inception through launch to run-state.
- Proven ability to influence department leaders and drive consensus up, down, and across organizational lines.
- Agile experience is a plus.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Google Suite.
