About the Role

Portland Leather Goods is seeking individuals to join their team, focusing on providing an exceptional customer journey. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining store appearance, and creating positive interactions. The ideal candidate is social, enjoys working with leather products, and is passionate about helping people.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, authentic, timely manner
• Create lasting relationships and fun memories with customers
• Maintain comprehensive understanding and upkeep of store products
• Ensure the store is neat, organized, and well-stocked
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Handle proper payment procedures
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher
• Must be available to work weekends
• Customer service/retail experience required
• Must be a team player
• Familiarity with POS systems and ability to learn new systems
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment
• Ability to place and arrange items on all shelves and racks
• Ability to climb and descend ladders while carrying merchandise
• Ability to lift 30 pounds or more with assistance
• Ability to be on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours per shift and continuously move around the store
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or balance for a duration of time
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, reports, and information on computer/register screens
• Ability to input information into the computer
• Must reside in the same state as the assigned retail store location

Skills

• Shopify experience is a plus
