About the Role

This Special Projects Lead role owns the design, execution, and evidence generation for the company's strategic clinical programs, starting with home health. The role is crucial for developing a focused menu of clinical programs (orthopedics, cardiovascular/heart failure, and oncology) that are the basis for partnerships and value-based arrangements. This position offers a growth track for individuals aiming to lead a function or P&L.

Responsibilities

  • Own the clinical program menu end to end, including design, delivery, and outcome evidence generation.
  • Define program specifics such as target patients, visit cadence, clinical protocols, staffing, telehealth components, and partner promises.
  • Maintain program focus to ensure exceptional delivery.
  • Coordinate with Complex Care offering for fair market value establishment.
  • Execute programs sold by Partnerships, ensuring alignment with promises made.
  • Build bespoke programs and live reporting for each partnership.
  • Own reported numbers to partners, including those in at-risk and pilot structures.
  • Build outcome reporting to scale pilots into referral pipelines.
  • Make successful programs repeatable across new markets.
  • Partner with Growth and Operations for program rollout in new regions.
  • Define and own KPIs for each program, including re-hospitalization, time to start of care, patient outcomes, margin, and referral conversion.
  • Design metrics to avoid perverse incentives and ensure program integrity.
  • Make program performance legible to partners, leadership, and market teams.

Requirements

  • A clinical background (RN, therapist, NP, PA, MD) or clinical operations leadership experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience owning complex, ambiguous projects end to end with multiple stakeholders and no playbook.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate load-bearing decisions and their impact.
  • Analytical rigor, including comfort with data analysis (SQL, Excel modeling, Claude Code) for business cases, baselines, and partner negotiations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for synthesizing complex information and building executive-level presentations.
  • Track record of owning outcomes that demonstrably moved patient outcomes, volume, cost, or revenue.
  • Operator mindset: ability to take vague requests and deliver excellent results, decompose problems, prioritize, and treat rollouts as workflows.
  • Accountability for unblocking oneself, escalating when necessary, and iterating quickly.
  • Ability to hold conversations grounded in clinical realities and commercial sharpness.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and operating in a zero-to-one environment.
  • Low ego and high standards, with a willingness to be scrappy and sweat details.
