About the Role

The Senior Finance Associate provides support to the Finance Department in managing various accounting, budgeting, reporting, and audit support functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Assist with preparation of the quarterly operating forecast.
  • Assist with schedules and journal entries for grant accounting, reporting, and reimbursements.
  • Monitor department revenue and expenses and prepare various analyses in comparison to budget.
  • Support in maintaining reporting templates, dashboards, and input sheets used for budgeting and financial analysis of campus operations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for transactions, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist with managing the Financial Data Model (FDM) and Security Roles in Workday and Adaptive Planning.
  • Work on projects and respond to requests from other Finance and non-Finance groups on campus.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of general ledger accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Finalists for hire will undergo a background check that includes education, employment, and criminal convictions.

Skills

  • Workday/Adaptive Planning experience is a plus, but not required.

Experience Level

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,000-$75,000
