About the Role
Through Unity Lab Services, Thermo Fisher Scientific offers integrated lab services, support, and supply management. Inventory management specialists use electronic systems and mobile scanning tools to ensure efficient order processing from dock to desk.
Responsibilities
- Use handheld RF scanners and mobile app to perform replenishments, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, returns, and backorder processing.
- Receive and inspect shipments, scan and store items, and maintain cycle counts for accurate inventory records.
- Manage customer interactions via email and phone, assisting internal partners to resolve questions and build trust.
- Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to propose and implement workflow improvements.
- Uphold safety and organization standards by following site guidelines and wearing required PPE.
- Proactively monitor stock levels and flag gaps or issues to prevent operational impacts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–3 years of customer-facing, retail stocking, warehouse, or inventory-control experience.
- Must successfully complete and satisfy Thermo Fisher’s pre-employment screening (including background check and drug test) and any customer-mandated screening, credentialing, or badging requirements.
- Customer requirements may differ from or exceed Thermo Fisher’s criteria.
Skills
- Confident using RF handheld scanners or mobile scanning apps.
- Basic Microsoft Office tools proficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, especially via email.
- Friendly, solution-focused approach.
- Self-starter with attention to detail, accountability, and teamwork.
