About the Role

As a Customer Solutions Architect, you will help current customers maximize their dbt Cloud deployment. You will monitor an existing book of business, lead technical discussions, uncover data challenges, and demonstrate how dbt Cloud can address customer needs through demos and workshops. Your goal is to drive customer satisfaction, leading to renewals and expansions. Internally, you will act as the voice of the customer to inform product development and help build out the Customer Solutions Architect team's processes and playbooks.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of Commercial or Enterprise customers and proactively monitor account health, product adoption, and utilization to identify expansion opportunities and risks.
Improve customer loyalty and retention by building strong relationships with key technical stakeholders and understanding their needs to demonstrate how dbt Cloud can help achieve their goals.
Increase customer value from dbt Cloud by educating them on new and existing products and features.
Collaborate closely with Sales Directors and Solutions Architects, providing strategic input on the customer lifecycle and renewals.
Act as the voice of the customer in product discussions and improve team collaboration.
Participate in improving team processes and assets, and enable others.
Create and deliver external-facing content through live events, blog posts, or tutorials.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in a post-sales role (e.g., technical account manager, CSE).
Solid technical background with a strong understanding of modern data warehousing architectures, the analytics stack, and SQL proficiency.
High degree of comfort presenting to various stakeholders, ideally with external-facing role experience.
Ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and think on your feet during customer conversations.
Desire to be part of a team and contribute to evolving work processes.
Willingness to travel for external and internal events.
