Responsibilities

Perform installs, repairs, and maintenance to a variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair pumps.
Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication.
Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain, and operate mechanical systems, motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches.
Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, glycol, heating, hot water, and steam distribution equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC systems.
Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
Manage relationships with all major vendor accounts.
Properly maintain and safeguard district assets.
Perform work wearing required personnel protective equipment.
Maintain a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

Requirements

Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties.
Positions may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, working at elevations, on uneven surfaces, or in confined spaces.
Must possess sufficient visual, hearing, communication, and motor skills to safely perform job responsibilities.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
Must exercise sound judgment, solve problems, maintain attention to detail, effectively manage stress, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
