About the Role
As a leader in the Parts department at one of our Inspection Centers, you will directly manage and develop a team of hourly associates. You will lead the team to provide necessary automotive parts to other teams in a timely and cost-efficient manner, working closely with associates, the local Parts Manager, and production leaders to find and order parts and manage inventory. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, approachable, energetic, and self-motivated, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise to understand processes and propose improvements.
- Manage parts processes to ensure timely and cost-efficient ordering.
- Manage and lead the associate team to achieve desired metrics and results.
- Lead and develop parts associates in finding parts, analyzing costs, and managing orders and inventory.
- Train and develop hourly associates on reporting, systems, and Parts processes.
- Work safely to decrease the possibility of injury and ensure the Parts area meets safety standards.
- Meet or exceed key metrics and goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Conduct business within Carvana policies and procedures.
- Act ethically, with integrity, and in the best interest of the customer and business.
- Portray a positive image of Carvana and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts or inventory management in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with a wide variety of automotive parts.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to work in a team setting.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
- A quality-first mentality that takes pride in upholding Carvana’s vehicle quality standards.
- Strong, consistent attention to detail.
- Moderate understanding of vehicle mechanical repair.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
- Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
- Requires standing for an extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
- Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Requires use of safety equipment.
- Requires frequent driving and some typing.
- Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
- Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
