About the Role

Sizewell C is one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure projects, a next-of-a-kind nuclear power station set to deliver clean, reliable energy for generations. Following the Final Investment Decision, construction is fully greenlit. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering a nationally significant project that will support Britain's energy security and Net Zero ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of major design programmes within heavy civils or large-scale engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Manage and administer NEC3 and NEC4 PSC and bespoke SZC contracts, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and effective delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain key commercial documentation, including early warning notices, compensation events, and programme submissions.
  • Draft position papers, prepare commercial reports, and author change events to support project decisions.
  • Apply understanding of construction technology, cost drivers, and supply chain management to optimize outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop Commercial Managers and Assistant Commercial Managers, building capability across the commercial function.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and clients, providing clear advice and updates.
  • Take ownership of challenges and deliver solutions from start to finish.
  • Contribute to strategic commercial planning and decision-making to support project success.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in major projects and NEC3/4 contracts.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of UK contract law and procurement best practices.
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional membership (RICS, ICES, CIOB, CIPS) desirable or working towards chartership.
  • Must meet criteria for Security Vetting, ordinarily requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years.
  • Right to work in the UK is a requirement.

About the Company

  • Sizewell C’s business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk.
  • The Company is maturing to meet all requirements for the development and construction of Sizewell C on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
