About the Role

The Medical Assistant (MA) will provide clinical and administrative support in a medical office setting, under the direction of the physician and office manager/coordinator. The Medical Assistant is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize care of patient according to presenting conditions.
  • Formulates nursing diagnosis and establishes intra-procedure nursing care plan based on initial assessment.
  • Checks department supplies, equipment and positioning aids.
  • Plans care with other members of the health care team.
  • Checks schedule for role assignment and cases.
  • Documents responses to and evaluations of nursing interventions provided.

Requirements

  • Licensed RN or LPN in the state of Ohio, or Registered/Certified Medical Assistant
