About the Role

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) is seeking Project Coordinators to support major projects within Project Delivery, focusing on Social Infrastructure and Transportation sectors. The role involves supporting the delivery of large, complex public infrastructure projects, primarily using Public-Private Partnerships (P3) and alternative delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery on major projects using various Public-Private-Partnerships (P3) and alternative delivery models.
• Provide technical and commercial support to the management of projects, from pre-transaction, Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) stage through to construction and commissioning.
• Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation measures specific to commercial and contractual matters.
• Support the negotiations of claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items.
• Support the management of relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• A few years of hands-on experience with major projects in an owner representative, design consultant, or construction management role.
• Relevant experience or education in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture or related discipline.
• Experience with project budgets, schedules and technical requirements.
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders is required.
• Highlight on resume the types of construction-related projects that you have supported or lead.

Skills

• Sound stakeholder management skills
• Experience finding positive solutions to complex issues with clients and diverse teams of project consultants and specialists
• Advanced presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills
• Experience negotiating claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items on major projects is an asset.
