About the Role
Summerhill Market is seeking a motivated, reliable, and hands-on Meat Cutter to join their Forest Hill team. This role offers an opportunity to grow skills in meat production and learn from an experienced team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cutting, trimming, and preparing meats for retail display and production
- Package and label products accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards within the department
- Support inventory rotation and stock replenishment
- Work collaboratively with the Meat Department team to keep production flowing smoothly
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in meat cutting, butcher shops, grocery retail, or food production is considered an asset
- Comfortable working with knives and equipment safely
- Able to work in refrigerated environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Open availability, including weekends
