About the Role

The Truck Driver Manager oversees cross dock operations, supervises truck drivers, and makes route deliveries. This role works closely with internal departments to ensure timely product delivery while maintaining DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Logistics cross dock operations, maintaining inventory levels and warehouse functionality.
• Supervise non-CDL truck drivers, including orientation and training.
• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers.
• Load and unload freight from trucks.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone or email.
• Complete necessary paperwork for company and DOT regulations.
• Update route directions and stop-to-stop information for all routes.
• Communicate truck maintenance and preventative maintenance issues to logistics and shop managers.
• Comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Perform heavy lifting of 75+ lbs.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or commercial motor vehicles over 10,001 lbs.
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• Previous warehouse experience and ability to operate a forklift or man lift preferred.
• Must obtain forklift certification within three (3) months of employment.
• Possess a valid truck driver license with relevant state endorsements and no restrictions.
• Willing to submit to drug screens and background checks.
• Maintain a valid DOT medical examiner's card.
• No recent moving or driving violations to remain insurable at standard rates.
• Ability to comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations.
