About the Role

This role leads the delivery of high-quality preconstruction services across multiple projects, ensuring progress, staffing, and deliverables are managed effectively and completed within budget. The position provides team leadership by overseeing preconstruction staff, developing talent, managing performance, and driving consistency in estimating, planning, and client service. It requires deep expertise in conceptual and detailed estimating, cost management, design review, procurement strategy, risk assessment, scheduling, and the use of preconstruction technology and market intelligence. Reporting to the VP of Preconstruction, this leader also serves as a key client-facing and business development partner, helping build trust, strengthen subcontractor relationships, and support successful project pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the delivery of high-quality preconstruction services across multiple projects.
  • Ensures progress, staffing, and deliverables are managed effectively and completed within budget.
  • Oversees preconstruction staff, develops talent, manages performance, and drives consistency in estimating, planning, and client service.
  • Serves as a key client-facing and business development partner.
  • Helps build trust and strengthen subcontractor relationships.
  • Supports successful project pursuits.

Requirements

  • 17+ years full time relevant industry experience
  • 15+ years demonstrated experience with commercial construction estimating and estimating software solutions
  • 10+ years of demonstrated expertise in the Value Management processes
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree; or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
