About the Role
Join the water team at GFT and contribute to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. Our team excels in dams and levees, advanced water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and conveyance, collection, and transmission. We focus on integrating technology, sustainability, and compliance to protect public health and enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Undertake the design of public and private sector municipal servicing projects, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory applications.
- Coordinate design with municipal/utility/approval agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.
- Liaise with clients, municipalities, and agencies to secure approvals.
- Assist in developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Prepare contract documents for construction, including engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.
- Provide services during construction, including submittal reviews and responses to requests for information.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
- Mentor junior team members on municipal infrastructure design.
- Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, and client communications.
- Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering.
- P.Eng. licensure with P.E.O.
- 10 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure projects (sewer pumping stations, booster pumping stations, reservoir and elevated tanks and water and wastewater treatment plants).
