About the Role
As a System Engineer, you will be the expert for AI Data Center products and solutions across the EMEA region. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to design modern network solutions, resolve technical challenges, and bring innovative ideas to fruition. Responsibilities
- Design solutions utilizing Corning's products in collaboration with sales teams, partners, and customers.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for passive cabling systems in AI Data Centers, including network designs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Compliance, rack layouts, and visual guides.
- Respond to RFP/RFQ requests and provide expert advice to customers on optimal product selection.
- Deliver technical support, training, and workshops to customers, installers, and partners.
- Provide pre- and post-sale customer support, including product consultation, system design, installation training, testing, and on-site troubleshooting.
- Author datasheets, technical papers, and customer responses.
- Convey feedback to the product team to enhance products and ensure compliance with regional standards.
- Contribute to the development of new IT tools to improve team efficiency and workflow.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in Telecom, Data Center, or structured cabling design.
- Experience designing cabling solutions for Data Centers or LAN networks.
- Experience creating technical documents such as BOMs, datasheets, Statements of Compliance, and RFP/RFQs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Organized, deadline-oriented, and proficient with MS Office and Visio.
- Fluent in English.
- Fluent in French or Italian.
- Valid EU work authorization or citizenship.
- Valid driving license with a clean record for car rentals.
