About the Role
Rakuten Kobo Inc. is seeking a UX Intern to join the User Experience (UX) team for a 6-month internship. This role offers real-world professional experience through hands-on participation in core design activities, including research, problem discovery, solution ideation, execution, and delivery of design assets. The intern will also learn to use professional design tools.
Responsibilities
- Gain real-world professional experience through hands-on participation in core design activities like research, (problem) discovery, collaborative solution ideation, execution, and delivery of design assets.
- Learn how to work with professional design tools in the execution of their design tasks.
Requirements
- Understanding of core design principles.
- Some experience in solving real-life user experience problems.
- Familiarity with digital design tools, specifically Figma, to create content and/or design assets.
- Ability to think critically and be receptive to learning through constructive critique.
