About the Role

Capital One Travel is redefining the premium journey for our cardholders through world-class benefits and high-value experiences. We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Head of Hotels to lead our Business Development and Account Management efforts. As the Head of Hotels, you will be the strategic architect of our luxury hospitality portfolio, driving growth by identifying, securing, and optimizing high-impact partnerships. This pivotal leadership role requires a visionary professional to elevate our partnerships, mentor high-performing teams, and champion Capital One’s presence across the global hotel industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team spanning business development and account management for the hotel industry, coaching and developing talent
  • Identify key trends and partnership opportunities in the hospitality industry
  • Support industry relations and partner engagement
  • Collaborate on key growth opportunities to drive benefit usage and growth
  • Work closely with Hotel Operations, Product, Strategy, and Well-managed functions to deliver benefit programs
  • Ability to travel for business development meetings, including representation of the company at tradeshows and conferences as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 years of experience in partner management, account development, or business development with a focus on building and managing partnerships
  • 5 years of experience in a business development position in the hotel or travel industry in the luxury leisure segment
  • 5 years of experience in people management and leadership
  • Masters or MBA degree
  • 10+ years of experience and a successfully proven track record in B2B sales and business development within the luxury travel or hospitality industry
  • 10+ years of experience in a business development leadership role in the hotel or travel industry
  • 5+ years experience in management and leadership responsibility driving a business development or sales capacity with proven track record of success
