About the Role
This role provides data-based insights and recommendations to drive organizational change. You will coordinate with the executive office and operating departments to deliver performance metrics and improvement strategies, manage complex projects, and serve as a liaison for structural data needs.
Responsibilities
- Identify and lead predictive analytic projects to enable cost savings and service quality improvements.
- Oversee analysis systems, data modeling frameworks, and project requirements.
- Monitor project deliverables, scope, risks, and milestones.
- Establish success measures for projects including costs, time, and results.
- Interface with departments to communicate project goals and insights.
- Perform predictive analysis using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques.
- Conduct diagnostic and descriptive analysis to gain performance process insights.
- Oversee reports and dashboards for key programs and initiatives.
- Document departmental processes and workflows to measure performance levels.
- Develop performance metrics to drive organizational improvements.
- Implement and maintain data collection, reporting requirements, and data validation.
- Support departments in using measures to manage operations and improve efficiency.
- Assist management in incorporating performance management into daily routines.
- Develop ad hoc analyses of critical issues and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Review and validate department reporting tools for accuracy.
- Improve data pipelines and automate reporting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in data analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must live within the CTA Statutory Service Area within 6 months of employment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Ability to travel to various field and transit property locations.
Skills
- Advanced quantitative knowledge for data modeling, testing, and validation.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Data visualization and business intelligence process flow automation.
- Understanding of technical systems and data reporting flows.
- Knowledge of revision control systems.
