About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, physically active Account Manager to drive growth in the metal recycling industry. You will manage relationships with catalytic converter suppliers, secure competitive pricing, and perform on-site inspections and operations.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain supplier relationships through regular in-person visits.
- Identify new supplier opportunities and assess operations on-site.
- Inspect catalytic converters for quality and compliance.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, loading, and transporting converters.
- Monitor market trends and pricing shifts to guide negotiations.
- Negotiate directly with suppliers and prepare accurate bids.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to manage purchasing, processing, and shipping.
Requirements
- Experience in account management, business development, or sales.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market and pricing data.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
