About the Role

FAIR-RITE PRODUCTS CORP. is expanding its grinding team and looking to add a member to its Surface Grinding Operators team on day shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform entry level set-up, monitoring, operation, and adjustment of grinding machines.
  • Choose proper grinding machines as specified by WOP.
  • Follow proper procedures for machine set-up and adjustment.
  • Wash ferrite cores and place in oven.
  • Check size of parts periodically using appropriate tools as stated in the work instructions.
  • Read micrometer, caliper, dial indicator tools and plot measurements, checking for consistency.
  • Interpret readings.
  • Inspect parts under microscope to assure a quality product.
  • Complete basic paperwork specified in Work Order Packet including measurements from pre-control forms.
  • Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards.
  • Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the Fair-Rite Safety and Health Policy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1 – 3 months on the job training and or experience
  • Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate (Preferred)
  • 3 months on the job training and or experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work under minimal or no supervision.
  • Ability to operate CMS / ERP system effectively.
  • PC / Computer skills are recommended.
  • Ability to use the tool data collection / SPC.
  • Good spatial perception.
