About the Role
This role is a key position within the procurement organization, responsible for developing and implementing regional category strategies to align with Four Seasons capability and spend ambitions. The regional Sourcing Category Manager will oversee procurement, strategy, and supplier relationships for various areas in hotel and corporates services, including IT services/products. This role may combine technical knowledge with strategic sourcing expertise to optimize performance and value across Four Seasons properties regionally.
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for hotel and corporate spend.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost reduction.
- Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for engineering service providers.
- Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of industry trends, innovations, and competitive pricing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate complex contracts and ensure favorable terms for equipment, maintenance, and hotel services.
- Collaborate with hotel management teams to adopt and align on various service and product options that are appropriate with operational needs for quality and service.
- Drive sustainability initiatives through strategic vendor selection and contract terms.
- Manage cost savings tracking and assist with preparing quarterly cost savings analysis and adoption reports.
- Own reporting and adherence to regional category strategy within properties in conjunction with the regional business partner.
- Work closely with regional business partners to ensure compliance within hotel locations to regional category strategies.
- Operate as a team player across the organization who effectively collaborates with business units and functional partners.
- Contribute process improvements to increase the efficiency and value of the team to the organization.
- Perform other work or special projects as assigned by Head of procurement.
- Handle ad-hoc projects which occur through working with the business partners/regional hotels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing.
- Proven track record in successful contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of procurement techniques, supplier management, pricing methods, bid process, contract formation and ongoing management.
- Experience with the design and implementation of category planning & savings initiatives.
- Proven track record of achieving category savings via sourcing, demand management and / or policy compliance.
- Hospitality experience and Global experience is an asset.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
