Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual counseling and psychotherapy
  • Lead group counseling sessions
  • Perform psychodiagnostics
  • Conduct intake interviewing

  • Complete rotational placements in inpatient psychiatry and forensic assessment
  • Engage in direct service activities
  • Participate in training activities
  • Undertake administrative activities
  • Engage in professional development
  • Teach and supervise practicum students
  • Co-teach a graduate-level counseling skills laboratory
  • Conduct psychological assessments, including the Rorschach
  • Write integrative reports for assessments

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology
  • Completion of required doctoral practical and comprehensive examination
  • A minimum of 600 intervention hours is required
  • A strong background in psychological assessment, including the Rorschach, is preferred
  • Degree of self-disclosure during supervision and training seminars is expected
