About the Role
In this role, you’ll be a Warehouse First Line Manager responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse by following procedures and leading a team. You will be a point of support for your team, creating an inclusive environment focused on individual growth and providing consistent guidance. Any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £4.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Following and enforcing all Health and Safety guidelines and legal requirements.
- Managing day-to-day warehouse tasks, identifying and implementing improvements.
- Guiding and training your team, offering consistent support, and acting as a point of contact.
- Acting as Deputy Warehouse Shift Manager when required.
- Ensuring all Partners are treated fairly, kindly, and with respect.
- Assisting other teams at the site when needed.
- Occasionally covering for the Warehouse Shift Manager.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older.
- Proven management or team lead experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Experience using warehouse management systems for inventory and operations tracking.
- Good understanding of stock management and monitoring.
- Clear understanding of Health and Safety laws and their application.
- Confidence in handling team matters fairly, including disciplinary procedures, in line with ACAS guidelines.
