About the Role

The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for educating prospective students, parents, and counselors about Le Moyne College and the admissions process. This role manages recruitment, counseling, academic advising, and evaluation of applicants, with a primary focus on international student recruitment. The position also oversees the Campus Visit Coordinator and provides support for student ambassador activities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the admissions team to design and implement marketing and recruitment strategies.
  • Manage assigned geographic territories, including extensive travel for recruitment.
  • Counsel, advise, and interview prospective first-year and transfer students.
  • Evaluate prospective student application materials and recommend admission decisions.
  • Develop and deploy targeted telemarketing and outreach activities to drive yield and conversion rates.
  • Oversee the execution of on-campus events in partnership with the Director of First Year Admission.
  • Develop and host on-campus programs for specific student demographics to enhance enrollment and diversity.
  • Provide culturally sensitive guidance to diverse students, parents, and counselors, advancing the college's mission of inclusive excellence.
  • Manage assigned program responsibilities, such as travel coordination or tour guides.
  • Build, expand, and maintain an internal recruitment database.
  • Visit high schools, junior colleges, and multicultural agencies to educate students and counselors.
  • Conduct off-campus interviews during recruiting trips.
  • Engage with local alumni during travel to strengthen relationships and support enrollment initiatives.
  • Represent Le Moyne College at off-campus recruiting programs and fairs.
  • Plan, schedule, and present at student information sessions and guidance counselor meetings.
  • Participate in panel presentations at secondary schools.
  • Evaluate international educational credentials, including transcripts and English language proficiency.
  • Plan and implement recruitment activities to generate international applications.
  • Research international recruiting trends to inform strategy and ensure effective regional coverage.
  • Pursue continuous professional development through in-service training and other opportunities.
  • Demonstrate and role-model Le Moyne's mission-based competencies in all interactions.
  • Strengthen digital literacy skills and apply digital technologies for information gathering, utilization, and data management.
  • Treat all individuals with dignity, professionalism, and kindness.
  • Align professional goals with the college's strategic goals.
  • Maintain excellent work attendance, reliability, and work ethic.
  • Attend and actively participate in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Comply with all Le Moyne policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
  • Complete all required federal, state, institution, and department trainings.
  • Engage in a planned program of professional development to maintain skills and knowledge.
  • Perform a variety of related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. from an accredited four-year College or University.
  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 1 year of prior experience must be in international student recruitment.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
