About the Role
You will be involved in day-to-day current state study such as PMTS time study, multi moment study, spaghetti chart. You will contribute to the success of the team through predetermined tasks based out of ongoing production performances – efficiency, productivity & any flow interrupters. You will be working with a wide range of departments and stakeholders to define new improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies to analyze work patterns, develop optimized solutions, and document workflows as algorithms to accurately estimate labor hours for various processes.
- Gather data for method studies, including process layouts, step-by-step operations, material lists, and required manufacturing documentation.
- Perform motion studies and visually represent findings using spaghetti diagrams to identify inefficiencies.
- Execute multi-moment studies on production operations to assess current performance in terms of efficiency and productivity, particularly focusing on bottleneck areas.
- Provide support for key operational excellence initiatives and manufacturing processes through detailed documentation and analysis.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects by maintaining thorough documentation and contributing to risk assessments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for Industrial Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, with hands-on involvement in time and motion studies and other current state assessments.
- Proficient in PMTS (Predetermined Motion Time System) analysis and well-versed in maintaining strong documentation standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
