About the Role
This role plays a critical part in maintaining CCTV, card access, and alarm system controls, managing user access, incident documentation, and internal and external investigations. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with store leadership, regulatory bodies, and People & Culture to ensure consistent adherence to company policies and external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operational integrity of CCTV, card access, and alarm systems, including ongoing audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Maintain and update regulatory tracking documentation
- Provides and updates user access for security systems across new and existing employees
- Conducts and/or assists with credit card disputes, audits and investigations related to inventory, discount discrepancies, and P&C matters, and contributes to special projects as directed by leadership
- Maintain and update all alarm call lists
- Prepare and distribute Crime Alerts
- Maintain and update Brinks store access
- Demonstrate leadership within the department and districts to support adherence to company policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of incidents such as theft, fraud, robbery, vandalism, break and enter and assault
- Provide after-hours support to stores, including weekend monitoring of inbox communications
- Support regulatory compliance reporting across all stores
- Assist with documentation, training, systems administration, development initiatives, and special projects as required
- Complete quarterly reporting on incidents, inspections, and regulatory activities
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen regulatory compliance across store operations
- Ensure that Annual Extinguisher testing is compliant with Provincial Standards
- Assist with alarm permit renewal where applicable
- Promote ongoing loss prevention awareness
- Support company culture initiatives, including promotion of FIKA and company product awareness where appropriate
Requirements
- Customer service experience in a retail setting or relatable hospital setting is strongly preferred.
- Genuine AI fluency: AI-assisted sourcing platforms, automated outreach sequencing, screening automation, and analytics dashboards. Not a feature user; a builder.
- Strong proficiency with modern technology.
- Ability to operate independently in environments with evolving priorities, building support solutions without detailed playbooks or heavy oversight.
