About the Role
As an Intern in our Global Reporting & Investments team, you will support driving financial reporting for BMG’s Management Board and our shareholder, Bertelsmann. You will collaborate on international reporting and controlling projects, using state-of-the-art financial technology to support transparency and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to group-wide management reporting and planning processes, including the preparation of insights for senior management and shareholder reporting.
- Support the month-end closing cycle, with a focus on P&L and cash flow as well as performance analysis.
- Work on international controlling projects across BMG in close collaboration with our business controllers.
- Help to further develop reporting landscapes, dashboard solutions, and controlling standards to improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with local finance teams and the global finance technology team to enhance data quality, automation, and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
- You have an analytical mindset paired with a genuine passion for the music and entertainment industry.
- You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment across teams and territories.
- You have completed, or are currently pursuing, a bachelor’s (at an advanced stage) or master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Controlling (or equivalent).
- You have already gained initial practical experience through prior internships in consultancy or finance roles within international environments.
- You have excellent skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint; first experience with SAP BW is a plus.
- You have a high level of English proficiency (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus.
