About the Role
As a Project Manager in Southern Ontario, you will lead major capital building and infrastructure projects for institutional clients, with a specific focus on the healthcare sector. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring client expectations are exceeded through strong relationship management, meticulous organization, and effective cost and schedule control.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong client relationships and act as the single point of contact to achieve project goals.
- Lead programs and large capital projects of varying size and scope.
- Manage all stakeholders, including clients and consultants.
- Ensure client satisfaction and represent the client's best interests regarding contractual and technical issues.
- Select and organize project teams while establishing authority and communication lines.
- Control project documentation and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Chair project and site meetings, resolve issues, and coordinate between stakeholders.
- Maintain client contact and support business development and sales opportunities.
- Report on project status via schedule updates, meeting minutes, and financial records.
- Provide oversight for change management, payment certificates, and administrative documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing capital construction projects, including ground-up builds and complex renovations.
- Full lifecycle delivery experience in an owner’s representative, consulting, contracting, or client-side role.
- Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specifications, budgeting, cost control, scheduling, procurement, and construction execution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the healthcare sector.
- Experience building and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Projects.
- Must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
