About the Role
Hyde Park Schools is seeking a Board Certified and Texas Licensed Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our Christ-centered Athletics Department. This full-time position plays a vital role in protecting the health, safety, and performance of our student-athletes through injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency care, and return-to-play planning. The Assistant Athletic Trainer collaborates closely with coaches, physicians, parents, and school administrators to provide exceptional care while maintaining accurate medical records and supporting compliance with TAPPS regulations. More than a healthcare professional, the Assistant Athletic Trainer is a mentor and servant leader who invests in the lives of students both on and off the field. Responsibilities
- Protect the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes.
- Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Administer emergency care.
- Develop return-to-play plans.
- Collaborate with coaches, physicians, parents, and school administrators.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Support compliance with TAPPS regulations.
- Mentor and serve as a leader to students.
- Build meaningful relationships with student-athletes.
- Support student-athlete growth physically, mentally, spiritually, and competitively.
Requirements
- Board Certified.
- Texas Licensed.
- Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and athletic events.
