About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will identify and solve business problems by translating strategic and customer needs into actionable product solutions. You will manage and prioritize the product backlog, define features and epics, and break them down into user stories. You will support the design of customer-centric solutions and participate in agile ceremonies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the broader product vision and roadmap.
- Define features and epics, and break them down into testable, deliverable user stories.
- Support the design of customer-centric solutions, collaborating closely with engineers and QA.
- Participate fully in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions to shape and prioritise product requirements.
- Conduct robust analysis and produce high-quality documentation.
- Refine and prioritise epics, features, and user stories.
- Own a healthy backlog and actively contribute to agile ceremonies.
- Remove blockers, provide clarity, and ensure solutions are aligned with the intended vision.
- Help ensure features meet defined KPIs and success metrics.
- Coordinate testing and validation activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in product management within a dynamic and innovative environment.
- Experience in the insurance sector, ideally with exposure to the inner workings of an insurance brokerage.
- Strong understanding of the specialty insurance market is highly desirable.
- Worked on high-impact insurance technology projects, with hands-on involvement in areas such as underwriting, claims, operations, and finance.
- Comfortable navigating both strategic and operational problem spaces.
- Understand the value of iterative delivery, customer feedback loops, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Comfortable challenging traditional ways of working to drive better outcomes.
