About the Role
ServiceMaster by GBS is seeking an experienced Restoration Crew Chief / Technician to join our family-owned, white-glove restoration company. We are looking for a leader who takes ownership, leads with confidence, and treats customer properties with care. Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls and manage jobs from first call to final walkthrough
- Set up and monitor structural drying, water extraction, fire/smoke cleanup, and mold remediation
- Supervise and train production technicians on-site
- Complete accurate job documentation — moisture readings, photos, and drying logs — using mobile software
- Communicate directly with customers, explaining the process and answering questions
- Interface with insurance adjusters as needed
- Identify and control safety hazards on every job site
- Maintain and protect company vehicles, equipment, and materials
- Keep vehicles, warehouse, and equipment clean and job-ready
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with water, fire, or mold restoration
- Ability to assess damage and take charge on job sites
- Experience leading crews and technicians with patience, clarity, and accountability
- Professional communication skills with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members
- Accurate job documentation
- Punctual and ready to work
- Commitment to doing the job right the first time
- Restoration, cleaning, or construction experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a company vehicle
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to work in tight spaces
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
