About the Role

The ROUTE TRUCK DRIVER is responsible for providing customers with dependable, safe, consistent, professional, and friendly service, working under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, Assistant Manager, or Team Leader. Our vision is to be the leading and most trusted provider of tires and services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and handling complaints professionally.
  • Utilize ELog Pre-trip interface to conduct daily pre-route vehicle inspections.
  • Transport and deliver items to customers on assigned route in a safe, timely manner.
  • Unload truck efficiently, accurately, and in an organized manner.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor on any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure all loads are secure and locked until reaching destination.
  • Obey all traffic laws, and K&M specific Cell Phone and driving policies.
  • Use Signature Capture phone to verify and collect COD payments, and attain a proof of delivery signature at the time of delivery.
  • Maintain complete ELog compliance on a daily basis according to regulations.
  • Adhere to assigned route travel path established to satisfy customer needs and efficiency.
  • Work safely and in a professional manner at all times.
  • Keep the inside of the truck clean.
  • Support management decisions and company goals.
  • Assist with warehouse duties if needed or requested.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
  • Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license issued by the working state and a clean driving record.
  • Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles or in certain states.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Ability to learn tire knowledge and exercise brand and size accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate and express ideas effectively.
  • Possess a friendly, helpful, positive attitude.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to read/understand U.S. Highway traffic signs and signals.
  • Two years' work experience.
