About the Role
NBC Sports Bay Area & California is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to collaborate with cross-functional teams, elevate visual communications, and ensure brand consistency across all creative assets. You will create original designs and corporate templates, requiring a key understanding of professional Bay Area and Sacramento sports teams to connect with viewers.
Responsibilities
- Brainstorm, develop, and execute creative ideas for original and sales graphics, and other marketing materials.
- Create and deliver graphics in real time for live and taped productions, including animations, logo elements, monitors, lower thirds, score bugs, opens, bumps, snipes, and full screens.
- Develop innovative and engaging graphics (still and motion) for print and digital platforms, including social media, websites, promotional materials, and templates.
- Ideate and create elements for social client sponsorships, and integrate sponsor branding into existing packages.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional design experience, ideally in sports or entertainment.
- Strong portfolio with a focus on sports branding, marketing, and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with sports culture and trends, especially in the Bay Area and Sacramento.
Skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere).
- Strong aptitude in design composition, typography, and timing.
- Strong graphic design skills and artistic ability.
- Experience in print, digital and motion graphics.
- Illustration and animation skills are a plus.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and a collaborative mindset.
