About the Role
This role owns the D&A Engineering leadership operating agenda, working directly with the CIO office and senior leaders to set priorities, challenge thinking, and drive delivery. We need a senior operator who can move at pace, handle ambiguity, and bring structure to complex work. You will challenge board and executive papers, turn strategy into actions and decisions, and hold progress to account.
Responsibilities
- Own the D&A Engineering operating rhythm, including leadership meetings, governance forums, planning cycles, executive reviews and action tracking.
- Turn priorities into clear plans, decisions, milestones and owners with the CIO office, leadership team and partners.
- Challenge board papers, executive submissions, business cases, briefings and presentations so they are clear, evidence-based and decision-ready.
- Bring technology, finance, risk, people, governance and enterprise teams to clear decisions, resolving dependencies and trade-offs.
- Break complex topics into actions, decisions, risks and next steps.
- Track delivery, escalate risks and hold owners to account until actions are closed.
- Use data, dashboards, MI and metrics to assess progress, measure effectiveness and recommend action.
- Oversee resource planning, headcount, cost base, financial governance, business continuity planning and ROI insight.
- Work with Finance on planning and reporting cycles, resolving variances, anomalies and risks with accountable owners.
- Set expectations on LSEG policies, governance standards and operating practices.
- Coach team members where needed.
- Use AI, automation and repeatable tools to cut manual effort and improve reporting, briefings, meeting outputs, action tracking and decision support.
- Handle sensitive work with discretion, pace and sound judgement.
Requirements
- Manager-level experience in business management, strategy execution, governance, COO or transformation in a complex organisation.
- Able to influence, challenge and build credibility with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills. Able to align teams, negotiate trade-offs and drive decisions.
- Experience reviewing and improving board papers, executive papers, business cases and senior briefings.
- Strong strategic judgement, critical thinking, data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Able to operate at pace through ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication. Able to adapt style for senior audiences.
- Experience using AI, automation, reporting or workflow tools to improve insight, control and delivery.
- Good understanding of headcount, cost tracking, MI, financial governance, Business Continuity, policy adherence and performance management.
