About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Finance Controller, Technology to join our Tech Controlling team. This role involves managing global cloud costs, supporting tech, product, and finance teams with financial processes, and working in a dynamic tech department environment.
Responsibilities
- Create financial transparency for all globally used cloud tools and services.
- Work with teams globally to establish a culture of cost accountability.
- Maintain and improve processes for cost-splitting and chargebacks to entities.
- Support procurement processes and manage global tech contracts by developing cost scenarios, forecasts, and models.
- Automate controlling tasks and improve efficiency with tech and finance teams.
- Assist tech teams in the headquarters with capitalization of their development projects.
- Prepare annual budget, quarterly forecast updates, and monthly deviation analysis.
- Understand and analyze related trends (P&L, balance sheet, and non-financial KPIs).
Requirements
- Over 2 years of experience in IT cost controlling.
- Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis and data model building.
- Ability to turn data into insights and recommendations.
- Experience in creation of ad hoc analyses, statistics, and deviation analyses.
- Advanced Excel modeling & analytical skills.
- Passion for optimizing processes and costs.
- Pragmatic, proactive, and able to get things done.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Willingness for continuous learning.
- Readiness to take on responsibility.
- Ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams and with different hierarchical levels.
- Good understanding of cloud pricing models, charging methods, and cloud billing and reporting (preferred).
- Experience with personnel cost (preferred).
