About the Role

Provide leadership in executing Audit’s assurance coverage over Financial risks, including Market, Credit, Interest Rate Risk, and Liquidity. Support annual audit planning, risk assessment, scoping, and execution of related audits. Play a critical role in developing audit staff and supporting departmental initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of a risk-based global financial risk audit plan through detailed risk assessments.
• Support the execution of the risk-based global financial risk audit plan through review and approval of audit work products.
• Draft, review, finalize, and communicate audit deliverables to senior and executive management.
• Ensure audit engagements align with internal standards and performance metrics.
• Prepare and deliver periodic management reports to key stakeholders.
• Participate as a non-voting member of business/risk committees and management working groups.
• Maintain effective partnerships with key leaders in the Financial Risk organization.
• Influence effective and sustainable improvements to processes and controls.
• Manage, coach, and develop staff, including talent management and new hire processes.
• Provide insights into the evolving regulatory environment and interact with regulators.
• Stay abreast of industry matters and apply new developments in audit projects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, or related functions within financial services, including custody bank.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Financial Risks, including Market, Credit (including Trading Credit), Interest Rate Risk or Liquidity.
• Experience executing or auditing Financial Risk.
• Extensive experience leading global audit engagements and interacting with regulators.
• Strong understanding of global regulatory expectations and industry standards impacting financial risks.
