About the Role

Sloclap is seeking an UI Designer for their Rematch project. You will report to the Associate Lead UI and work within a 3-person team. The role involves designing intuitive user interfaces, producing and integrating assets in Unreal Engine, and collaborating with various project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive, readable, and gameplay-consistent interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and navigation architectures.
  • Produce and integrate interface assets and logic in Unreal Engine using Blueprints, UMG, and UMG Viewmodel.
  • Define and maintain UI components, style guides, and best practices for artistic consistency.
  • Test and validate in-game interfaces, identify usability issues, bugs, and regressions, and manage their resolution.
  • Evolve interfaces based on feedback from teams, playtests, and user testing.
  • Collaborate closely with all project stakeholders: Production, Game Design, Art, Programming, Tech Art, and QA.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of UI/UX experience, ideally in video games, with a portfolio of interactive interfaces.
  • Strong command of UX, ergonomics, graphics, typography, and prototyping.
  • Solid skills in Unreal Engine, particularly with Blueprints and UMG UI tools.
  • Good understanding of constraints related to in-game interface integration, optimization, and performance.
  • Proficiency in Figma and major graphic creation tools.
  • Autonomy, rigor, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks within deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and ability to present, argue, and constructively challenge choices.
  • Excellent teamwork, listening skills, humility, and ability to integrate diverse feedback and viewpoints.
  • Clear communication, both oral and written, in French and English, with strong synthesis skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse professionals and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
