About the Role
Support a defined programme of finance activity and provide additional capacity for the Financial Accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of audit findings, collaborating with internal stakeholders to strengthen consistency and documentation of key processes.
- Deliver change in VAT compliance and additional reporting compliance for SORP, as outlined in a recent audit.
- Translate all changes into practical processes, working across the Finance team to ensure processes are robust and operational.
- Support the Finance team with additional accounting capacity where necessary.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant.
- Experience reviewing audit controls.
- Experience implementing change in complex environments.
- Proven technical accounting experience, particularly with FRS102 and SORP.
- Comfortable working independently and at pace, ensuring deadlines are met within timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to explain technical concepts to non-finance colleagues.
