About the Role
Lead the commercial growth of Flora Professional's Industry & Manufacturing (B2B) channel across the UK & Ireland. Develop strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers, identify new commercial opportunities, and deliver sustainable growth. This role also involves leading and developing a Junior Key Account Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Flora Professional's Industry & Manufacturing growth strategy across key sectors including Bakery, Desserts, Soups, Sauces, Beverages and wider food applications.
- Build long-term partnerships with leading manufacturers while identifying new sectors and commercial opportunities.
- Develop trusted relationships with procurement, commercial, technical and culinary stakeholders.
- Own the complete sales pipeline—from lead generation through to bids, tenders, negotiations and long-term commercial agreements.
- Work closely with Culinary, Marketing, Technical and R&D teams to support recipe development, menu innovation and product applications.
- Lead customer negotiations, Joint Business Planning, pricing discussions and long-term commercial planning.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting and sales performance while using commercial insight and data to identify opportunities, mitigate risks and drive sustainable growth.
- Line manage and coach a Junior Key Account Manager, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture built on accountability, development and customer excellence.
Requirements
- Experienced Foodservice commercial professional who understands the complexity of Industry & Manufacturing customers and knows how to build long-term strategic partnerships.
- Commercially astute, customer-focused and motivated by creating growth through collaboration, innovation and outstanding execution.
- Proven experience managing strategic B2B accounts within Foodservice, FMCG or Industry & Manufacturing.
- Experience selling food ingredients or food products into manufacturing customers.
- A strong track record of identifying, developing and growing long-term commercial opportunities.
- Excellent relationships with decision-makers across food manufacturers or large B2B customers within the UK & Ireland.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience leading negotiations, pricing discussions and Joint Business Planning.
- Confidence working cross-functionally with Marketing, Technical, R&D, NPD, Culinary, Supply Chain and Finance teams.
- Outstanding communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the energy, resilience and curiosity to identify new opportunities and challenge the status quo.
- A genuine passion for food, innovation and helping customers create exceptional culinary experiences.
