About the Role
Barker Associates is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their award-winning, multi-disciplinary property consultancy. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK, contributing to sustainable and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with building condition surveys and produce clear, insightful reports for clients.
- Support the preparation of tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules of work.
- Assist with tender submissions, contractor analysis, and the drafting of JCT construction contracts.
- Participate in pre-contract briefings and ensure smooth project handovers.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance.
- Attend client and project meetings, representing the business with professionalism and technical confidence.
- Travel to sites and client locations as required.
Requirements
- A relevant degree or strong working experience.
- Experience working with AutoCAD.
- Working towards or hoping to achieve RICS Chartership.
- Full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
- Subject to a DBS Enhanced check.
